Universal colorant based on cobalt blue PB 28, TEGO® Dispers 651 and TEGO® Dispers 652

The universal colorant based on PK 5091 achieved by this formulation is water-based and can be used for tinting of water-based base paints and solvent-based alkyd paints. By the addition of TEGO Dispers 652 the formulation gets a low viscosity and a good compatibility with solvent based alkyds. The colorant can even be used for facade coatings and paints with higher pH-values, especially in POS. Pigment loading and additive dosage are developed for grinding purposes. Pigment loading and rheology might need to be adjusted for use in a dispenser.
