Waterborne pigment concentrate

Resin-free pigment concentrate based on carbon black PBk 7 and TEGO® Dispers 760 W

The water-based pigment concentrate based on COLOUR BLACK FW 200 achieved by this formulation is resin-free and can be used for tinting of a broad variety of water-based base paints and coatings. The colorant has a good flowability and a high jetness. It can be used for architectural coatings, general industrial coatings and wood coatings. Pigment loading and additive dosage are developed for grinding purposes. Pigment loading and rheology might need to be adjusted for use in a dispenser.

Preparation

Prepare a premix from positions 1 - 5 and add while stirring.

Add component 6 while stirring.

Grind with appropriate equipment until stable color strength has been reached.

Adjust pH to 8.5.
