Dynasylan® OCTMO

Dynasylan® OCTMO is a monomeric medium-chain alkylfunctional silane. Dynasylan® OCTMO is a clear colourless liquid and soluble in common non-polar organic solvents (e.g. petroleum ether, toluene). However its low volatility and viscosity make Dynasylan® OCTMO an easy-to-handle additive. During the hydrolysis reaction between water and Dynasylan® OCTMO a certain amount of methanol (VOC) is released.
