This webinar had introduced a novel spherical calcium silicate as an effective anticorrosion pigment for protective coatings. Both Spherilex® AC 45 and Spherilex® AC 45 HS are synthesize using a unique patented manufacturing process, allowing to produce AC pigments with increased effectiveness for passivation and at the same time easier and more even dispersion. Additionally, the modified silica exhibits improved mechanical properties such as abrasion resistance, hardness and adhesion. These findings demonstrate that the spherical calcium silicate can be an effective and environmentally friendly anticorrosion pigment for the protective coatings market.

Evonik introduces its new TEGO® Powder Aid D01 for powder coatings. It is a multifunctional pigment dispersant additive for powder coatings with many benefits, such as enhanced flow&leveling, reduction of melt viscosity and provide better dispersion during extrusion.
